Blade Battery

Redefining EV Safety Standards

Super Safe

What makes BYD different from others is the innate use of the impeccable power battery safely surpassing the nail penetration test.

High Strength

With a great bearing capacity of over 445kN, it is highly equivalent to a 45-ton truck.

Long Range

Providing BYD Han EV the ability to travel more than 700 kilometers (CLTC)*.

Long Life

Capacity to enable an 8-year-long lifespan EVs to drive a lot more than 5-1,000,000 km*

Fast Charging & High power

Gets charged in 33 minutes from 10% to 80%. 363kW is the highest power that can be discharged.

Blade Battery is entirely a different concept that is not used in all kinds of cars, but our BYD luxury car has successfully surpassed the nail penetration test. This method is widely used in a rigorous manner which helps to test the thermal runaway of a battery. Once the batteries are all set and aligned to undergo the test, the Blade Battery emits no kind of smoke or fire, followed by the temperature of the surface reaching from 30 to 60-degree C. The ever-evolving new cell used for LFP chemistry forms a brand new factor looking exactly like that of a blade. With the conventional, lithium and iron phosphate, the battery is yet to emit certain flames in regard to the temperature of 200 to 400 degrees C.

For a motive to innovate a safe cell, a high-energy density pack is used. In a nutshell, this is how we get to know that the Blade Battery is ultra-safe.

Nail Penetration Test

Blade Battery Truck Drive Over Test

Having a decade-old track of millions of on-road miles, BYD batteries are curated differently and are yet to last up to 30 years. Not just this, over 20 to 25 years of warranty is also eligible on storage projects!
